Caution: Beware of Housing Scam Sites

It has recently been brought to our attention that fraudulent sites are using the Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) name to entice potential DDW 2018 attendees to book hotel accommodations through them. Any sites other than what is provided on the DDW website are in no way affiliated with DDW and should be avoided.

Scammers often create fake hotel booking websites to steal money and information from travelers/attendees. Some make money by tacking on additional fees, but others may charge you for a room that simply doesn’t exist. In any case, sharing your credit card and personal information (such as name, address and phone number) on these websites may put you at risk for identity theft.

Trusted hotel accommodations and other meeting information can be found on the DDW website (www.ddw.org). Please exercise caution when viewing any other booking websites claiming to be affiliated with DDW. You can also sign up to receive communications directly from DDW regarding 2018 registration and housing.
