Q: When are disclosures due?
A: New this year, presenting authors are required to submit their financial disclosure by 21:00 Eastern time (UTC –5) on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024. Abstract co-authors are welcome to submit financial disclosure but are NOT required to do so this year. View our step-by-step tutorial video for instructions. This video will provide information on the updated disclosure requirements for DDW abstract authors.

A: Abstracts containing basic, clinical or translational research findings in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy or gastrointestinal surgery may be submitted. Abstracts that are not eligible include those that were:
- Presented at previous DDW meetings.
- Published as an article or accepted for publication upon the Dec. 5 deadline.
Q: Are case reports or series accepted?
A: AASLD and AGA will accept case series submissions for the 2025 meeting, but will not accept case report submissions.
ASGE is accepting case reports submitted by fellows and trainees that involve five or fewer patients and have pertinent training points or amplify clinical experiences. More details can be found in the abstract submission guidelines, under “Additional ASGE Rules.”
SSAT will accept case reports and case series submissions for DDW 2025.
Q: Is there an online presentation option if I can’t attend in person?
A: Authors of accepted abstracts are required to present in person in San Diego. Livestreamed or pre-recorded video presentations will not be permitted. If you’re unable to attend in person, select the “ePoster only” option when submitting. If selected, ePoster presenters are required to register for DDW and upload an ePoster file to the DDW ePosters site.
