Malignant Polyps: Lesion Characteristics
Dr. Roberta Maselli is an associate professor at Humanas University Hospital in Milan, Italy and is the director of their advanced endoscopy program. At DDW 2024 she presented as part of the session on Management of Malignant Polyps. With new innovations, she is able to see more lesions and allows for a better characterization to predict if the lesion is adenoma or hyperplastic. This in turn helps decide how to remove it. Through her innovations and research, she has helped to pave the way for further advancements in the endoscopic world.

Extraesophageal Reflux Upfront Testing for All is Not Practical
Dr. Renya Yadlapati is a professor of clinical medicine, director for the center for esophageal diseases and medical director at the GI motility lab for the University of California San Diego. She gave a presentation on how upfront testing for all is not practical for extraesophageal reflux. She proposes that the innovations move in a multidisciplinary, less invasive strategies direction.
