The deadline to apply for a Basic Science Travel Award for Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2020 is almost here. You must submit your application by Feb. 19 at 9 p.m. EST to be considered for the $1,000 travel grant. DDW will select up to 20 early-career researchers, who will present their abstracts at a Quick Shots Session during the meeting. DDW is taking place May 2-5 in Chicago, IL.
Requirements to Apply
All applicants must be:
- Currently enrolled or within three years of completing their training programs.
- Listed as the first or presenting author of their basic science abstract.
The following materials also need to be included with the application:
- Current CV/resume.
- Letter of intent describing the applicant’s role in the research presented the abstract, the applicant’s interest in attending and presenting at DDW, and plans for future research.
- Letter of support from a faculty sponsor summarizing the candidate’s attributes and the impact DDW attendance will have on the candidate’s research and career.
