1. Start with a compelling title that summarizes your conclusion.

You have just a moment to capture attention, so make it count with a title that tells the story of your research. Highlight your main finding and convey why it matters. Keep it concise and avoid abbreviations for maximum clarity.

2. Structure your abstract effectively: Title, Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusion.

Following this simple structure ensures clarity. Each section should be brief yet informative. Emphasize the aim to highlight the purpose of your study and the value of your research.

3. Keep each section brief and concise.

Save reviewers’ time and energy by providing just enough background to contextualize your findings. Describe any novel methods clearly, include only the most critical results, and focus on the significance and impact of your conclusions.

4. Edit and format carefully.

Proofread for clarity, seek feedback to enhance flow, and follow DDW’s format and word limit guidelines. If you exceed the word limit, edit for brevity and precision.

5. Acknowledge your collaborators.

If your abstract is accepted, be receptive to feedback at the meeting, which can improve future submissions. Don’t forget to include your contact information, such as email addresses, for networking opportunities.
