Tuesday’s eighth annual ASGE World Cup of Endoscopy features nine of the best endoscopic videos from around the globe. After surviving a rigorous review process to make it to DDW®, the videos will be scored by a panel of international judges to see which three will take home gold, silver and bronze medals for their respective countries.
ASGE Educational Products Committee Chair Gerard Isenberg, MD, FASGE, AGAF, chief medical quality officer at the Digestive Health Institute at University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH, said the annual World Cup video competition is always one of the stand-out events at DDW.
“The videos selected for the World Cup showcase state-of-the-art endoscopic techniques, as well as some really intriguing or unusual cases from around the globe,” he said. “The World Cup also brings with it that spirit of friendly international competition, which makes it entertaining beyond the fascinating science.”
This year’s World Cup competition features videos from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain and the United States, giving attendees an opportunity to see how endoscopy is approached differently in different parts of the world.
Following the competition, the videos will be available for viewing in ASGE’s new online learning platform at learn.asge.org.
Please refer to the DDW Mobile App or the Program section in Tuesday’s issue for the time and location of this and other DDW events.
