    1. Hi Ricardo,

There is a Poster Session on May 8 on Imaging and Therapeutic Interventions in Obesity and Metabolic Diseases. Once the DDW Mobile App is available, you will be able to locate this session and more when searching by the Obesity and Nutrition Track.

  1. More academics are beginning to recognise that surgery with it inherent complications and irreversible nature is NOT the answer to obesity; which is still accepted as a LIFESTYLE disease.

The program at DDW bears testimony to the fact that the tide has started to change. I note many talks given regarding endoscopic management of obesity. My feeling is that bariatric surgery is coming to an abrupt halt and more focus should be given to endoscopic therapies in conjunction with a lifestyle modification program. Now, that is the way to go!
