Is there somethig about obesity and metabolic syndrome?

More academics are beginning to recognise that surgery with it inherent complications and irreversible nature is NOT the answer to obesity; which is still accepted as a LIFESTYLE disease.
The program at DDW bears testimony to the fact that the tide has started to change. I note many talks given regarding endoscopic management of obesity. My feeling is that bariatric surgery is coming to an abrupt halt and more focus should be given to endoscopic therapies in conjunction with a lifestyle modification program. Now, that is the way to go!
