Session Description

SSAT’s Presidential Plenary session will include an award presentation and Mark P. Callery, MD, president of SSAT, giving his presidential address, Creating Tomorrow Together.

The COVID-19 crisis has tested the creativity, adaptability and resolve of everyone devoted to DDW. In his address, Dr. Callery will highlight how the SSAT has continued to advance through its strategic plan. He will also emphasize partnership, collaboration and unity across DDW as essential values in its greatness ahead.

Dr. Callery has served as Chief of the Division of General Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since 2001. A specialist in all forms of pancreatic surgery, his clinical interests include hepatobiliary surgery, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, complex GI surgery and hernia repair.
