Find Out What’s New at DDW® 2020

There’s always something new at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) — and the 2020 meeting is no exception. Whether this is your first time at DDW or you attend every year, you’ll find new technology, session types, and programming to look forward to at this year’s meeting.

General registration and housing for DDW 2020 are now open. Register through March 18 to save at least $85. Sponsoring society trainee, postdoctoral fellow and student members receive complimentary registration through the early bird period.

New This Year

Use the DDW Preliminary Program and DDW Online Planner to get more details, as well as to view the early agenda and other pertinent meeting information.

Stump the Professor Session

Medical students, residents and fellows will present their most unique and challenging cases to a panel of professors who must determine correct diagnoses. Attend this interactive session for lively discussion, friendly competition, and the opportunity to learn new knowledge from both established and budding experts.

Expanded Programming in the DDW Trainee and Early Career Lounge

Meet with experts to have your questions answered about topics such as practical issues of career choice, contracting or how to write a manuscript.

Continuing Conversations

Select invited-speaker sessions will offer Continuing Conversations. These dedicated 15-minute, post-lecture blocks offer an opportunity to network with presenters and fellow attendees. Search “Continuing Conversations” in the Online Planner to find out which sessions offer them.

Audience Response System

With this multi-functional platform, you can view presentations live on your mobile device, submit questions and take notes. Presenters can also include polling questions for live audience response. This technology will be used in all session rooms.

ASGE Hands-On Workshops

Participate in a customizable lab to practice skill sets and learn about cutting-edge, minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in these two hands-on workshops.

  • Interventional Approaches to IBD (HW1): Saturday, May 2, 8–10:30 a.m.
  • Customized Hands-On Lab: Choose Your Own Adventure (HW3): Sunday, May 3, 1–3:30 p.m.

AGA Clinical Plenary

Hear the latest in clinical research with this plenary featuring clinical abstract presentations accepted by AGA. This session will be held on Monday, May 4, 8–9:30 a.m.

AGA Topic-Focused Workshops

Learn about hypnosis techniques for GI disorders and nutrition at AGA’s new topic-focused workshops.

  • Nutrition Boot Camp for Trainees: Tuesday, May 5, 1:30–5:30 p.m.
  • Hypnosis Techniques for GI Disorders: Tuesday, May 5, 2–5:30 p.m.
