Invited-Speaker Sessions

These sessions feature some of the most prestigious experts in their fields. Organized by each of the four sponsoring societies, these sessions highlight a wide range of topics that appeal to a broad base of attendees. In the DDW Online Planner and Mobile App, invited-speaker presentations can be identified by their presentation numbers; all invited presentations being with “Sp.”

Session types include hands-on workshops and courses, combined clinical and translational symposia and Breakfast Connections (formerly Breakfast-With-the-Experts).

Abstract-Based Sessions

Abstract-based sessions feature new research findings. These sessions are presented lecture or poster sessions, research forums, and 60 to 90-minute sessions sponsored by SSAT and DDW known as “quick shots.” All accepted abstracts are published in either Gastroenterology or GIE: Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and are published in the 2019 mobile app (must have an attendee log in to view).
